TEN OF THE BEST: Week 11

Feels good to get past 11 straight weeks without a break, that was one of my main goals when I started this playlist, to be able to stay consistent with it. Let’s get on with it then shall we? This week is more of the same, a bit of everything so I hope you like this one.

Check out the spotify playlist at the bottom of this post:

This week’s playlist, in no particular order:

Skankin’ Sweet – Chronixx

This one is dedicated to my crew, mostly the one CJ, they have managed to play this tune so much that I can recite it word for word. Do you blame us though? This tune is amazing to say the very least.

My Love – Wale X Dua Lipa X Wizkid X Major Lazor

Want to get the party started proper? Play this song, ON REPEAT. The vibes on this one are unbelievable. The energy is crazy, though I must confess that Wale through me off guard with this one. He nailed it still.

Extra Lesson Remix – Alkaline X Kojo Funds X Chip

Alkaline, one of dancehall’s big acts in recent times comes through on this one. The original tune is mad,  and the remix just takes it up another notch. The featuring artists each play their part actually adding to the quality of this here tune.

Set The Trend – Mavado

This tune was meant to be on the playlist really early in the piece, so it says a lot about the quality up until now that this tune has been pushed back until now. Big tune, nuff said.

$on Of A Queen – Melodownz X Rizvan

Really excited to share this song by Melo and Rizvan, it’s a banger. The hook does it’s job, it hooked me right in from the very first time I heard the tune. This is one of them joints that just gets you moving from the moment the beat drops. If you haven’t listened to Melodownz check out his debut album “Avontales”, the boys is a beast!!! I can tell you that one or two more tunes may be making an appearance on this playlist.

Jeje – Falz

What a dope tune this is. I was put onto this one by Ash aka Smooth Shotta aka S-Dub hehe. Vibes overload on this one no doubt.

Rasta – Jah Cure

My typa tune from the one Jah Cure. I can’t believe that I missed this tune on the album. Recently a good friend played it to me and I couldn’t stop beating myself up about this one. Been my anthem over the last few weeks.

Summer Anthem / Afterparty – Israel Starr X Raggadat Cris

Another tune that should really have made the list much sooner but kept just missing out. This tune has been on heavy rotation on my spotify for a minute. If you like this this tune, please do check Israel Starr’s album “Producer’s Chair – Dancehall Vol 1” it’s an awesome album to say the least.

Great Man – Jahmiel

Hey, if you didn’t know that I’m heavily on Jahmiel’s vibes well please check previous playlists it will become apparent. Another solid tune from an artist that has been making all the right moves. The consistency from this youth is crazy.

Living Dread – Black Am I

This guy burst on the scene on Set Up Shop vol 1, Damian Marley’s compilation album for his music collective Ghetto Youths International. He comes through on this one with a well executed tune. Vibes from start to finish.

Another great playlist if I should say so myself. Until next week fam!!!!
